The Gas Trap (EN 1949)

A sealed box is not enough. The type of fittings, the frequency of attachment points, and the exact nature of the copper are scrutinized. We perform a 150 mbar pressure audit with a certificate to guarantee your approval.

Load Distribution

This is the centerpiece of the RTI application. A complex calculation including the weight of occupants, full tanks, and the remaining payload. An error on one axle and your certificate of conformity is void.

The average observed budget is €500 to €800. Our offer at €590 incl. tax includes the most critical part: the official Qualigaz inspection (value approx. €300) as well as the pre-visit and advice. You will be responsible for the administrative fees for the DREAL (€86.90).

Once the DREAL file is submitted, the processing time is generally 3 to 5 weeks. The Qualigaz appointment (which we organize) can be obtained within 15 days. Allow about 1 to 2 months for the entire process (Time may vary depending on your departmental DREAL)

Yes, it is essential for the DREAL application. You must provide weighing tickets (total and per axle) from a certified scale. Pay attention to the remaining payload: it must be sufficient for the number of passengers planned. A specific document must be provided with your DREAL application.

Yes, it is possible, but the installation must strictly comply with the EN 1949 standard. This is where we come in: we check your work during the pre-visit to ensure that the Qualigaz technician will validate your installation on the first attempt.

Consulting and understanding all the standards to be respected is not an easy task (Not to mention the cost of purchasing all the standards, approx. €1000). We are industrial bodywork specialists, it's our job. We can inspect your vehicle, perform a mandatory Gas leak test, and we take responsibility for compliance.
